No, WAVE is not a TENS device. It relieves pain in a totally different way. TENS devices are anything but an off switch for pain, and in fact, FDA states they should be “used with OTC pain medications” [1] . There is no FDA requirement that WAVE be used with pain medication. The vast majority of WAVE users do not need to take pain drugs to acheieve an acceptable level of pain relief.

Usage
Every woman’s experience with discomfort is unique, so WAVE can be used differently depending on your needs.
The key is to start early and adjust as needed until you find what works best for you.
Yes, WAVE tends to work best when used before the pain becomes severe. It’s most effective
when you start using it as soon as you feel the first signs of discomfort or even before, based on your cycle. While it can still help when symptoms are stronger, it may take a little longer to feel
the full effects.
Think of WAVE like brewing the perfect cup of tea—just because the water starts to change color doesn’t mean it’s time to pull the bag out. For the best results, leave WAVE in for at least 60 minutes, even if you start feeling relief sooner.
This isn’t just about quick relief; it’s about letting the treatment run its full course. Allow the device to complete the full session, which is 60-90 minutes (or until the battery dies), to ensure you’re getting the most out of every use.
Stopping the treatment early does no harm, although it may be less effective, and your pain may
return sooner. You can safely resume the treatment.
For safety, remove the device before replacing the battery.
It’s common to feel this way initially, but it is unlikely the device will fall out. Users typically acclimate to the feel of the device quickly.
When the WAVE is inserted, no one can hear it, ensuring complete privacy.
Consult with a healthcare provider before using Wave during pregnancy.
No, the vibration level is preset to a specific intensity to ensure a safe and effective user experience.
No, the effectiveness remains consistent with each treatment, ensuring reliable performance.
In fact, many users report increased effectiveness with continued use.
There were many driving factors why our engineers decided to use a disposable battery:
– Product size
Using a rechargeable battery would have increased the battery module considerably, making it to large to use comfortably
– Price
Adding a rechargeable battery and charger would haver added ~ $30 to the cost of the product. A replacement battery is less than $ 0.50 on Amazon
– Sustainability
If a rechargeable battery were used, it would need to be sealed within the product like a
cellphone. The battery will fail well before the device, leading to increased waste and cost to purchase a new Wave. Our alkaline batteries are a safer choice over lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, as they contain fewer hazardous materials, making them less harmful to the environment and human health when disposed of improperly.
Health and Safety Concerns
There are no known health or safety issues. Wave meets all applicable health and safety
standards. If you have specific health conditions consult your healthcare provider before
beginning any new treatment. Discontinue use and consult a professional if you experience
adverse reactions.
